Open World ZvZ: the guild war with a real prize
Daily guild war over objectives, in the open world — and with a prize that comes out of the server's own economy.
The problem in regular Tibia
Guild war in traditional Tibia has no objective, no deadline and no prize. It starts over an insult, turns into an arm wrestle of patience and ends when one side gets tired of playing. There is no scoreboard, no date, nothing at stake other than pride — and since the cost is high and the return is zero, most guilds simply avoid it. Organized PvP, which should be the peak of group play, becomes attrition.
How it works here
- Daily guild war in the open world, fought over PvP objectives.
- 10% of all the gold generated by the server forms the guilds' prize.
- The prize does not come out of anyone's pocket: it is formed by the economy, and goes back to the players.
Why it was designed this way
War without an objective and without a deadline is not competition, it is friction. By giving it a date, an objective and a prize, the dispute becomes an event: it has a beginning, it has an end and it has a reason to take part. And the prize being a slice of the gold generated solves two things at once — it gives a concrete reason to fight and takes currency out of circulation, which holds back the inflation that eats away at old servers.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the guild war prize come from?
From 10% of all the gold generated by the server. It is not charged to the participants: it is formed by the economy and returned to the guilds that compete.
How is the prize split between the guilds?
In proportion to each one's points: the guild that scores 20% of the war's points takes 20% of the prize. Every guild that takes part and scores takes its slice — not just the top ranked ones.
Do I have to stay in a PvP world forever to take part?
No. The world switch lets you go in and out with the same character, respecting the cooldown of 15 minutes.
How often does it happen?
It is daily.
