These rules apply to the game, the website and every official Tibia 2 channel, including Discord. Our team may step in on any behaviour that harms other players or the server itself. The list below covers the most common violations, but it is not exhaustive.
1
Names
Name imitating the team
Do not use names suggesting you are part of the administration.
Names such as GM, CM, Admin, Support, Tibia 2 Staff or any variation that implies authority inside the game are not allowed. The name is changed without notice, and using that confusion to deceive other players leads to account suspension.
Offensive name
No insults, threats or hate speech in names.
This includes slurs, threats and racist, sexist or homophobic content, as well as any other form of hate speech. The team changes the name, and the player may be warned or suspended depending on severity.
Inappropriate name
The name has to fit the game world.
Avoid explicit sexual content, drug references, real tragedies, political figures and trademarks. Out-of-context names are changed by the team, usually without further punishment.
2
Cheating
Bug abuse
Found a flaw? Report it, do not exploit it.
Deliberately using a server flaw for an advantage — items, money, experience, PvP or any other system — is a serious violation. Reporting a flaw carries no penalty; exploiting it quietly does. Whatever was gained that way is removed, and the account may be suspended or deleted.
Multiclient
Several clients open is fine; playing on more than one at the same time is not.
You may keep several clients open, but only one of your characters can be acting. Hunting, trading or supporting yourself in PvP with two characters at once counts as cheating.
Unauthorised software
Bots, external macros and modified clients are forbidden.
Only the official Tibia 2 client is allowed, unmodified. Any program that plays for you, automates decisions or shows information the client does not — bot, cavebot, external auto-healer, keyboard or mouse macro, injector — is forbidden, even while you sit at the computer.
Team check
Answer when the team runs a check in-game.
The team may contact you to confirm a person is controlling the character. Ignoring the check, replying automatically or logging out during it is treated as confirmed automation.
Reports
Report honestly, using the in-game tools.
Report what you actually saw. False reports, mass reports or reports used to harass someone are violations in themselves and are punished.
What is tolerated
Automation only while training: exercise weapons, trainers and magic level.
Outside those situations — hunting, looting, trading, joining events — the character must be played by you.
KS, lure and trap
The team does not settle respawn disputes.
Kill stealing, luring monsters onto another player and setting ambushes are part of the risk of the game and are not violations. The team only steps in when it turns into systematic harassment of one player or blocks a server system from working.
3
Messages and statements
Insults and hate speech
We do not tolerate harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia or extremism.
This covers game chat, public channels, private messages, guild names and Discord. A real threat against another person leads to immediate suspension.
Personal data
Do not ask for or share anyone's personal data.
Address, phone number, documents, photos or any information identifying someone outside the game may not be requested or posted, even if that person shared it elsewhere.
Advertising
Advertising other servers or external services is forbidden.
This includes links, names of other OT servers, selling services outside Tibia 2 and invitations to competing platforms.
Spam
Do not repeat messages or flood the channels.
Repeated messages, all-caps text and character flooding make public channels unreadable and lead to muting.
Supporting violations
Helping someone break the rules counts as a violation.
Teaching bot usage, selling access to an exploit, covering for a cheater or distributing forbidden software carries the same punishment as committing the violation.
4
Sales and transactions
Char Bazar
Character sales happen only through the Char Bazar.
The Char Bazar is the only official and safe way to transfer a character. Deals made outside it are not recognised: if you are scammed in a private arrangement, the team will not recover the character or the money.
Scamming
Scams arranged or advertised in-game have zero tolerance.
Promising an item, coins or a character and not delivering, or using another player's trust to take over their account, leads to permanent exclusion without refund.
Character listings
To advertise a character, list it on the Char Bazar.
Character sale ads in game channels, on Discord or anywhere else outside the Char Bazar are removed, and the player may be muted.
T2 Coins and market
Buy and transfer coins only through the official systems.
Coins are bought in the official store on the website. Abusive use of the market to move coins can destabilise the account, and the team does not refund losses caused by it.
5
Channel conduct
Help
Use Help only for questions about the game.
The channel exists for questions and answers about how Tibia 2 works. Small talk, arguments and advertising do not belong there.
Trade
Buy and sell ads only in Trade, in moderation.
Repeating the same ad within a short interval counts as spam, even in the right channel.
General chat
In the community channel, talk with respect.
Disagreeing is fine; insulting is not. A discussion that turns into personal attacks is closed by the team.
Characters parked in the depot
Do not leave characters in the depot just to advertise.
A character used only as an advertising board inside the depot gets in the way of people playing and may be removed from the spot by the team.
Discord
The same rules apply on the official Discord.
Names, conduct, advertising and respect follow exactly what is on this page. A punishment on Discord may come with one in the game, and the other way around.
6
Team and legal matters
Impersonating the team
Do not pose as a member of the Tibia 2 team.
Claiming to be a GM, to have server access or to be able to lift punishments — in order to get items, passwords or favours — leads to account exclusion. The team never asks for your password.
Slander and false information
Do not spread lies about the team or the server.
Criticism is welcome; invented accusations of team corruption, fake shutdown announcements or rumours meant to harm the community are treated as violations.
Attacks on our services
Attacking the website, server or infrastructure is the most serious violation.
Intrusion attempts, DDoS and exploitation of website or payment system vulnerabilities lead to permanent exclusion and may be reported to the proper authorities.
Applicable law
Real-world law applies too.
Illegal content, payment fraud and any criminal activity involving Tibia 2 are removed and reported to whoever is responsible.
Any violation may result in muting, temporary suspension, removal of whatever was gained irregularly or permanent exclusion of the account, without refund. The punishment is proportional to the severity and to the player's history, is decided by our team, and may be applied without prior notice.
These rules may change at any time. Every change is announced on the news page.
If your account or one of your characters has been punished, the record appears on your account page, with the reason and the duration.
