Monster Core: the hunt balance that becomes loot when you die
Every hunt accumulates a balance that is worth XP. If you die, it becomes loot on your corpse for another player to take.
The problem in regular Tibia
Hunting in Tibia is the most repeated activity and the one that demands the least decision. You go in, kill, leave. There is no moment of tension and no choice between carrying on and securing what you have already earned — what dropped on the floor is yours, period.
How it works here
- Hunting in Open PvP and Hardcore accumulates Monster's Core.
- Cores are traded for experience at the Adventurer's Guild.
- If you die before trading them, the Cores become loot on your corpse — and another player can take them.
- The balance grows as the hunt goes on: the longer you go without cashing out, the more there is to lose.
Why it was designed this way
It is a bet the player manages alone. Every hunt now has an open question — do I keep going and grow the balance, or do I go back and secure what I have? That creates tension without depending on another player showing up, and when one does show up the fight has a concrete prize at stake, not just pride. It is also an economy sink: part of the value generated circulates between players instead of only inflating the server's total gold.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Monster's Core drop when I die?
It does. It becomes loot on your corpse, and another player can pick it up. That is why there is the decision of when to stop and trade it for experience.
Where do I trade the Cores?
At the Adventurer's Guild, for experience.
Does it work in Non-PvP?
The accumulation happens when hunting in Open PvP and Hardcore.
