Reward Wall: idle gold becomes a bonus for the whole region
Idle gold becomes a region bonus. Whoever donates earns a reward, and the economy sheds weight.
The problem in regular Tibia
On a server a few months old, gold only comes in and almost never goes out. Prices go up, those who arrived later cannot buy anything, and the gold of those who already piled it up stops meaning anything at all — having ten times more does not buy ten times more. It is the same problem on every OT that ages, and the classic sinks cannot keep up with the volume.
How it works here
- You donate gold to raise the Discovery / Area Boost of a region.
- Whoever contributes receives rewards for the contribution.
- The donated gold leaves circulation: it becomes a collective bonus instead of continuing to inflate the total.
Why it was designed this way
The difference between a sink that works and one that nobody uses is what you get in return. Here the player does not lose gold — they buy a bonus for the region and take a reward for it. It is a sink the player wants to use, and not a tax they try to avoid. The side effect is the most valuable part: whoever has gold to spare funds bonuses that also serve those who are just starting.
Frequently asked questions
What do I get by donating gold?
Rewards for the contribution, on top of the region bonus itself — the Discovery and the Area Boost go up for whoever hunts there.
Why does the server want me to spend gold?
Because gold that only piles up brings down the value of the currency for everyone. Taking currency out of circulation is what keeps prices affordable for those who are arriving.
